Passport India Visa Services- Different Types of Visas!
What is a Visa?
A visa is an official permit that a given country must offer to a passport holder from another country before the latter’s visit to the former’s country. The Department of State is in charge of issuing visas. For those who do not have their own passport, visas are temporary authorizations that allow them to go to a nation other than the one in which they are now residing.
The visa is normally stamped on the front of a passport, although it can also be issued as a separate document in some cases.
While both a visa and a passport are valid for travel, the primary distinction between the two documents is the presence of a visa endorsement in the passport that allows the holder to enter, depart, or remain in a country for a certain amount of time.
- Tourist, student, work, and transit visas are the most common categories of visas issued.
- Depending on where you are travelling, a visa may be good for a single visit or for a number of visits.
- In certain cases, a visa application must be submitted prior to entry into the nation, whilst in other cases, visas are granted upon entry into the country.
- Before applying for a visa, several nations ask that you attend an interview or undergo a medical examination.
